Red – Ordinary World

Red’s cover version of Duran Duran’s song Ordinary world.

I’ve heard them once and instantly hooked on that sweety melodies played with acoustic guitars.

…But it sounds a bit 80s-ish, so I didn’t like it that much.

You know, that gated reverb snare stuff & unrealistic strings, with that new wave-oriented voice.

Red did changed it all. This great gospel-based post grunge band re-arranged this great song and turned it into a fantasic song. While this could only be my personnel taste, red’s cover version even made me weep! (Gosh, have you really got the balls you faggot?)

Ah… anyway, here it is. That K2000 string sounds were changed to a sample-based patches which is much more convincing. And you can’t deny the sweetness of those heavily scooped guitars!  Plus,  michael’s voice is much more appealing than simon’s to me. Also the entire song evolves more slowly.
